Update- Water service was restored at approximately 4:15pm
On Tuesday, August 27 at approximately 3:10pm, it was determined that the water main servicing Creekside Drive between Miners Creek Road and Galena Street needed to be shut off on due to leaks in a service line. A residence on Creekside Drive has multiple leaks in its service line, which runs from their home to the water main line. Service line repairs are the responsibility of the homeowner, which is why this homeowner currently has a private contractor onsite to make service line repairs. Earlier in the day, the water was just shut off to the residence, but more leaks were discovered, which has now resulted in a full main line shut off being required on a portion of Creekside Drive.
A significant amount of water has been pumped and will continue to be pumped out of the trench to allow for repairs. Restrictions do not allow for this water to be pumped into Tenmile Creek, so it is instead being pumped onto the driveway and multiuse pathway/road north of this residence. Subsequently, pathway users are asked to not use the multiuse recreational pathway in this area, which currently has significant standing water.
Repairs are estimated to take at least two hours, and Frisco Water Division staff are going door to door to inform impacted residents on Creekside Drive.
