Frisco is currently in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan and is hosting four opportunities for the community to weigh in on the Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The Town has been working closely with community members and key stakeholders to identify core values and priorities for Frisco’s future. A survey was conducted in June to gather feedback that shaped the framework for Frisco’s Comprehensive Plan and several events have already been hosted to provide opportunities to share ideas for the future of Frisco. The four events on Thursday, September 26 are part of the second phase of the Comprehensive Plan process.
What is a Comprehensive Plan?
In the State of Colorado, a Comprehensive Plan is required by the State and intended to guide growth and development. A well-crafted Comprehensive Plan should reflect the community’s vision and goals for the future and address various elements such as land use, transportation, recreation, economics, water, and the natural environment. The Comprehensive Plan may be used as a long-range tool to guide policy decisions throughout the Town, as well as supporting guiding amendments to the Town’s Unified Development Code (Code) in line with the community’s vision.
