The Town of Frisco is currently in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan and is in the third phase of the planning process, scenario planning. During this phase, a survey is being conducted to gather community feedback on multiple plausible scenarios based on key factors like population growth, economic trends, and community vision. Community members are urged to take this survey at FriscoPlan.com by the October 10, 2024 deadline .
Over the past several months, the Town has been working closely with community members and key stakeholders to identify core values and priorities for Frisco’s future. In June, an initial survey was conducted to gather community feedback, which subsequently shaped the framework for Frisco’s Comprehensive Plan, and multiple outreach events have already been hosted to provide in person opportunities to share more ideas for Frisco’s future.
What is a Comprehensive Plan?
In the State of Colorado, a Comprehensive Plan is required by the State and intended to guide growth and development. A well-crafted Comprehensive Plan should reflect the community’s vision and goals for the future and address various elements such as land use, transportation, recreation, economics, water, and the natural environment. The Comprehensive Plan may be used as a long-range tool to guide policy decisions throughout the Town, as well as supporting guiding amendments to the Town’s Unified Development Code (Code) in line with the community’s vision.
